What Are Medical Special Reports?
Medical special reports are visual summaries – charts, graphs and focused lists – built from a plaintiff’s medical records. Each one isolates a single part of the injury story, such as pain levels, medications or pre-existing conditions, so an adjuster, mediator or jury can grasp it at a glance.
A medical chronology lists every medical event in date order. It is the complete record of what happened. A special report works differently. It pulls one theme out of the records and makes it visual, so a single point lands quickly. The two work best together. The chronology gives you the full picture of the case. Special reports then make the specific points you need to prove persuasive, whether that is persistent pain, escalating treatment or a prior condition made worse.
